What are invisible braces?
Invisible braces are also called invisible aligners. Of course, these braces are not really entirely invisible – but almost so. Therefore, the term transparent braces is more appropriate. There are transparent solutions for both fixed and removable braces.
Invisible removable braces
Two systems have become established for invisible removable braces: CA® CLEAR-ALIGNER and Invisalign. Both systems are aligner braces made of plastic. You can read more about the two types of aligners below:
CA® CLEAR-ALIGNER
The CA® CLEAR-ALIGNERS are transparent plastic splints that are practically invisible from the outside of the mouth. They are custom-made for you in our in-house laboratory in Bochum. These transparent dental splints are removable, which means that the patient can take them out for meals or dental care. The aligners gently and gradually move the teeth into the desired position. Since they are fixed without wires or screws, our patients find them particularly comfortable to wear. The CA® CLEAR-ALIGNER splints are easy to clean and very hygienic.

Invisalign
The Invisalign system offers an orthodontic treatment without the feeling of being affected by fixed braces in everyday life. The removable, elastic and transparent plastic splints can correct different kinds of tooth misalignments. Furthermore, the invisible aligners are easy to clean.

Invisible fixed braces
There are practically invisible systems not only for removable but also for fixed braces. For these solutions, for example, the wires are attached to the inside of the teeth and are therefore not visible from the outside. In addition, there are also transparent brackets made of ceramic, which are recognisable to an extent, but which are still much more inconspicuous than conventional metal brackets.
